Chocolate fantasy heaven cake

Ingredients for Cake

  • All purpose Flour (2 ½ cups)
  • Granulated sugar (Couple of cups)
  • Cocoa powder (One cup+1 tablespoon)
  • Baking soda (One tablespoon)
  • Baking powder (1 ½ teaspoons)
  • Salt (1 ½ teaspoons)
  • Three eggs
  • Milk (1 ½ cups) and couple of tablespoons of vinegar for making the milk sour
  • 1 ½ cups Strong black coffee (warm)
  • Melted butter (3/4 cups)
  • Vanilla extract (4 ½ teaspoons)

Ingredients for White Frosting

  • Butter (3/4 cups)
  • Sifted confectioners’ sugar (3 ½ cups)
  • Half & Half cream (1/3 cups) or heavy cream
  • Vanilla (Couple of teaspoons)

Ingredients for Chocolate Frosting

  • Butter (3/4 cups)
  • Unsweetened sifted cocoa powder (3/4 cups)
  • Sifted confectioners’ sugar (Three cups)
  • Half & Half cream (1/3 cups) or whole milk
  • Vanilla (Couple of teaspoons)

Ingredients for Chocolate Ganache

  • Dark chocolate (113 grams or 4 oz)
  • Butter (Couple of tablespoons)
  • Cream (1/4 cup)

Ingredients for Garnish (Optional)

  • Chocolate chips (Couple of cups)
  • Chocolate cake sprinkles (Half a cup)
  • Grated dark chocolate (2 ounces)

Directions for Preparation

Cake

  1. Heat the oven at 175 degrees C.
  2. Take round cake pans (20cm ) and grease them. Line the bottoms with greased parchment paper and little flour. Set them aside.
  3. Measure the vinegar & milk and put them aside.
  4. Take a big mixing bowl and put sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder & baking powder into it. Now sift them together.
  5. Take a medium sized bowl and add eggs, coffee, vanilla extract, soured milk & melted butter into it. Mix them together with the help of an electric mixer.
  6. Take another bowl and add all the dry ingredients into it and mix them for 2 to 5 minutes with the help of an electric mixer.
  7. Now take 3 pans and put the batter in equal parts in each pan.
  8. Bake each one of them for round 30 minutes.
  9. Once baked, take out the pans from oven and put them over the cooling racks. Allow them to cool down for next 20 minutes. After cooling them, slice the cakes into half.

White Filler Frosting

  1. Take a bowl and put some butter in it. Now cream the butter with the help of an electric mixer. Add some vanilla & confectioners’ sugar at different intervals to ensure consistency.

Chocolate Frosting

1.Take a bowl and cream some butter in it with the help of an electric mixer. Add cocoa, vanilla, confectioners’ sugar & cream, one by one to ensure consistency.

Chocolate Ganache

1.Melt butter & chocolate together in a double boiler at low heat. Now add some cream and mix them till a smooth & thick sauce is formed. Allow it to cool down prior to being drizzled on the cake.

Assembly

1.On the base cake add a layer of white frosting and then place another layer of cake on top of it.

2.Now frost the sides & tops with the help of chocolate frosting.

3.You can garnish it with chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, grated chocolate and drizzle it with chocolate ganache.
