How To Make Edible Rainbow Slime
Slime is great fun for kids to play with, but if your little ones like to put everything in their mouth, this slime is the perfect solution. It’s made from just a few basic ingredients and is completely safe to eat. Plus, it’s really pretty to look at!
Whip up a batch of this edible rainbow slime to keep your kids busy on a rainy day. They’ll love it, and you’ll love how easy it is to make.
You’ll need:
Microwave safe bowl
Fiber powder supplement with psyllium (the clear kind)
Water
Food colouring
In the microwave safe bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of fiber powder with 1 cup of water and food colouring. Stir to mix, then microwave for 5 minutes, keeping an eye on the mixture to be sure it doesn’t bubble over. Use a large bowl because the slime swells up and bubbles up the side of the bowl.
Repeat this procedure using different colours of food colouring until you have several colours.
After the slime cools, peel it away from the bowl and let your kids have fun playing with the different colours, mixing them to create a fun rainbow effect.
This is also great for keeping kids entertained at parties. Store your slime in an airtight container when not in use to keep it from drying out.
Try adding a few drops of flavouring such as mint extract or vanilla to the water when you mix it with the fiber. This will give a hint of flavor as well as a lovely scent the kids will adore.
