Took 5 minutes to set up
Had it staked in the lawn and pointed at the back wall in about 5 minutes. The dots actually move slightly which I didn't expect — looks really effective on the trees. Two of the kids' birthday parties so far.
Got it for my wife's 40th
Bought it as a surprise for our backyard party. Switched it on at sunset and there was an audible 'wow' from the guests. Put it in the gum tree for a different effect. Yes I'd buy again.
Survived a Melbourne winter
Left it out through July (Melbourne — wet, cold, miserable). It still works perfectly. Honestly didn't expect that. Cable seems solid, plug fitting is tight. Happy.
Better in person than the photos
Photos don't do it justice — the green and blue together looks much more 3D when it's actually projecting on the trees. Mounting it 2m off the ground gives the best spread.
Took a star off because the remote is fiddly
Light itself is great — covers a decent chunk of the back yard. The remote works but you have to point it pretty close. Minor complaint. Actual effect is much better than I expected.
Christmas Eve hit
Set it up Christmas Eve and the grandkids couldn't stop watching the dots move on the eucalyptus tree. Asked me twice when I was 'turning the magic on' the next night.
Yellow firefly light is gorgeous
Saw the firefly version recommended on Instagram. The warm amber dots floating around the back deck genuinely do look like fireflies. Different vibe to the green/blue one — softer, more romantic.
Customer service is genuinely lovely
Had a question about which model to buy. Emailed and they wrote back the same day with helpful advice. Not pushy. Bought, happy. Will recommend to friends.
