Warranty & returns

The short version: Try the projector in your garden. If it isn't right for you, send it back inside 30 days for a full refund of the product price. If it fails inside 12 months, we replace it. Email info@thehomeandpartyshop.com for both.

30-day return guarantee

Every laser projector and string-light set ships with a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. Stake it in the lawn, switch it on for a party, see how it sits with your garden. If it isn't the upgrade you were hoping for, email us inside 30 days for a full refund of the product price.

Change-of-mind returns require original packaging and all accessories (remote, power cable, ground stake). It's fine if the unit has been used and tested — that's the whole point of trying it. Customer covers return shipping for change of mind.

12-month Australian warranty

Every projector carries a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. If anything stops working inside that window — laser diode, motor, remote receiver, power adaptor — email info@thehomeandpartyshop.com with your order number and a short video of the issue. We ship a replacement unit free of charge, and cover return shipping for the faulty one.

Warranty does not cover physical damage from being dropped, run over, chewed by pets, or modified. It also doesn't cover normal wear on the remote control batteries (they're consumable — slot in a fresh AAA pair and you're sorted).

How to start a return or warranty claim

  1. Email info@thehomeandpartyshop.com with your order number and a short note on what's happening (or a video, if it's a fault).
  2. We reply inside 1 Australian business day with the return address and instructions.
  3. Pack the unit in its original box and post it back. For warranty claims we email a prepaid return label; for change-of-mind returns the postage is on you.
  4. Once we receive it and confirm condition, we refund within 3 business days back to your original payment method (card, PayPal, Afterpay, Shop Pay).

Damaged in transit

If your parcel arrives damaged, take a photo of the outer box and the unit before unpacking further. Email us within 48 hours of delivery with the photos and order number. We send a replacement unit straight away — no need to ship the damaged one back first.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this warranty or return policy limits or restricts your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL — including the right to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
