Solar · Blue & Green · Wraps Any Tree
Wrap a tree in shimmering light.
Pay nothing to run it.
400 individual LEDs across 44 metres of weather-resistant string — in mixable blue and green. Charges by day. Comes on at dusk. Off by dawn. No wiring. No bills.
Why it works
Not another cheap string light
Three things make this one different. None of them are marketing fluff.
44 metres in two strings
Two separate 22m strings instead of one long run. Wrap one tree top-to-bottom. Or split them across two. Or run one along the fence and the other up the gum out front. You decide on the night, not at the checkout.
Blue + green you can mix
Most colour-changing strings cycle through reds, yellows, purples — the cheap-Christmas-light look. This one runs blue and green only, and the two colours blend together on the canopy. The effect is closer to bioluminescence than a hardware-store light show.
Truly zero-bill solar
Solar panel charges through the day. Auto-sensor turns the string on at dusk, off at dawn. No timer to set. No power point. No extension cord snaking across the lawn. Plant the panel, drape the lights, walk away.
Five-minute install
Three steps. No tools.
Open the box, plant the panel, drape the string. If you can decorate a Christmas tree, you can do this.
Stake the solar panel
Push the included spike into soil somewhere it gets at least 6 hours of direct sun. Both panels are independent — one per string — so they don't have to be next to each other.
Tip: If your tree is shaded, run the panel cord up to 2m away to a sunnier spot — the LED string stays under the canopy.Drape the 22m string
Spiral up the trunk, weave through the branches, throw it over the canopy — whatever pattern you want. The cable is thin and flexible, no support clips required.
Tip: For a denser look, use both strings on the same tree. Wrap one tight on the trunk, throw the second loosely across the top.Switch on. Walk away.
Flip the switch to AUTO. Panel charges through the day. String comes on at dusk, off at dawn. You'll never touch it again until you want to move it.
Tip: First charge takes a full sunny day before the LEDs come on at night. After that, it's automatic.
44 metres is two trees, or one big one, or the whole fence line.
For context: most string lights you'll find at the hardware store are 10–15 metres total. This one's 44 metres, split into two 22m strings. That means you can wrap a 3–4 metre tree trunk-to-tips with the first string and still have a second string left over for the magnolia, the fence, or the gazebo.
Run them both on the same tree if you want a denser canopy. Run them at opposite ends of the yard if you want symmetry. The strings are independent — each has its own solar panel, its own sensor, its own switch.
Solar vs wired
Why solar wins outside
Plug-in fairy lights look fine from the catalogue. Here's what actually happens in your yard.
Wired plug-in lights
You're tethered to a power point.
- Need a power outlet within cord-length of the tree
- Extension cord running across the lawn (trip hazard, looks bad)
- Adds to the electricity bill every night they're on
- Have to manually switch on at dusk, off in the morning
- If it rains hard, the plug junction is a risk
- Move the lights to a different tree? Re-route the entire cord
Solar Tree Dazzle
Plant the panel. Walk away.
- No power outlet needed — the panel is the power
- No extension cords. No tripping on cables on the lawn
- $0 running cost. Forever. Sun's free.
- Auto-on at dusk, auto-off at dawn — set and forget
- Weather-resistant outer cable for Aussie storms
- Move it to a different tree in 5 minutes — re-stake the panel

★★★★★
"Got these to wrap the big gum out the front for our daughter's engagement. Drapes really easily, no fiddling. The blue/green together looks expensive — guests kept asking if we'd had it installed."

"Tried the cheap supermarket version first, lasted six weeks. Switched to these and they've been through a full Cairns wet season — still going strong. Worth the upgrade."
